Cachapa is a type of corn tortilla originating in central Venezuela that is currently consumed regularly in the Canary Islands due to its migratory link with Venezuela, which is also known as cachapa de budare. The budare is a cast iron griddle with which these pancakes are cooked and which today can be replaced by the pan. It is a typical food that is consumed hot and is perfect for any time of the day. It is very easy to make and has few ingredients. Cachapa is generally filled with butter and cheese, it can also be filled with meats, shredded chicken, ham and cheese, or any other ingredient to taste.
